I just completed this digital painting of the flower of a Heliconia rostrata, also known as the lobster claw flower. This is a tropical flower, and the image above is based on a photograph that I took on Maui. As is my usual case, I first processed the image in Photoshop and then took it into Procreate to paint it. I have been experimenting lately with doing paintings in a square aspect ratio and this is one of those.
